Armed Forces Day 2019

Armed Forces Day 2019

Our latest feature focusses on the Armed Forces Day event in Rotherham Town Centre by RMBCEvents, MCVC ROTHERHAM (Veterans) in June. The annual action-packed event began with a traditional parade from Rotherham Town Hall led by The Band of the Royal Armoured Corps, followed by a Service of Worship to remember those who died, and to give thanks to veterans and active servicemen and women. Visitors also enjoyed displays of military and vintage vehicles, First and Second World War re-enactments, live music, stalls and family activities throughout the afternoon. Mayor Cllr Andrews said, “I’m delighted to be able to personally contribute to marking the incredible work of the armed forces, past and present. I’m really proud to tell the story of my father, which is just like those of many other everyday people who went off to war, and the effect it had on them and their families. “As Mayor, it is humbling to see our town pay such a special tribute to our military community, and that this is so well supported by people from across the borough. Armed Forces Day is certainly a highlight in the Rotherham calendar.” Watch the video to find out more… Please feel free to share this video with your friends and family… This is Local News This is Positive News This is Rotherham TV
